The Venus Project - Resource Based Economy
The term and meaning of a Resource-Based Economy was originated by Jacque Fresco. It is a holistic social and economic system in which all goods and services are available without the use of money, credits, barter or any other system of debt or servitude. All resources become the common heritage of all of the inhabitants, not just a select few. The premise upon which this system is based is that the Earth is abundant with plentiful resource; our practice of rationing resources through monetary methods is irrelevant and counter-productive to our survival.
Modern society has access to highly advanced technology and can make available food, clothing, housing and medical care; update our educational system; and develop a limitless supply of renewable, non-contaminating energy. By supplying an efficiently designed economy, everyone can enjoy a very high standard of living with all of the amenities of a high technological society.
A resource-based economy would utilize existing resources from the land and sea, physical equipment, industrial plants, etc. to enhance the lives of the total population. In an economy based on resources rather than money, we could easily produce all of the necessities of life and provide a high standard of living for all.

The flaw with this wonderful sounding plan is that our reality is a world of scarcity. It takes work to create abundance, and work is wasteful of energy. You always put in more energy than you get out. It is a nice dream, but we must work within the confines of reality to have any chance of success.
Resource Based Economy doesn't challenge it.
Merriam Webster define abundance as an amount or supply more than sufficient to meet one's needs.

Not magic. Just intelligent management of the earth's resources. The caveat is that a new value system needs to be in place throughout the culture for such a new society to be possible. Currently, too many are still excessively greedy. What does it mean to be excessive? Having more of something that you cannot realistically, and practically, use at/over a period of time.
