The Solar Heating and Night Cooling of Surfaces
Hello Steemians
I am a simple guy from India and I am new on Steemit and this is my very first post here, So please go Easy on it. :)
It is too cold nowadays in India and I like this weather so much but it is not a topic of today's article. Let's discussed the topic without wasting the time.
Introduction--
In this article, I am going to explain how does the various colored surface heat up in the sunlight during the day and how they cool under the open night sky. There are many questions arrive in the mind that how the energy observed by surface during the day when the sky is clear and how is the surface is very cool in the night.
Actually, this differences (day heating and nights cooling) are about the scattering and absorption of light by a particle which presents in the atmosphere. If we talk about scattering when the lights come from the sun, falls on any particle then this particle absorbs the light and gets tremor than this particle emits some energy around from the amount of absorbing lights and. So this is called the scattering of light. Now the absorption can be known as, when the light falls on the surface and not reflected completely is called the absorption of light.
How the surface is heating in daytime--
The heating of the earth is specified by the external surface of the ground because the temperature varies according to the different location on the earth.
The Emissivity of the surface of ground depends on the properties of a ground material. The grass of the surface, for example, may have an Emissivity of about 0.3, while asphalt may have an Emissivity of about 0.8. and a white surface such as tarmac, are much more reflective and that have very low emissivity value.
On the exterior surface of the dome, apply the sky radiation temperature and with a narrow range this temperature falls on it, about 0 to 30-degree Celsius
There is ambient temperature we know in the sky in the daytime and this temperature falls very low about 0 degree Celsius in the night.
When there is warm climate on cloudy nights, the temperature of the sky may be warmer than this temperature.
When in the cold season at nights on a clear sky, the temperature of the sky might be cold about 15 degree Celsius. These phenomena affect the amount of radiant energy (such as The amount of cover cloud and amount of ambient light) that reflected from the sky and return to earth.
For controlling the emissivity of sky uses the value of emissivity. So the amount of reflected energy is controlled by the emissivity.
Here
(Reflected = 1 Emissivity)
How the surface is cool in the night--
Here we are taking an example of earth surface in the daytime when the sky is clear. The surface has warmed during the day. As soon as the sun goes down, the surface of the earth begins to cool (Here we can say the emitted energy is greater than the received energy). The result of this, the surface of the earth starting cool during the night.
We can say the maximum surface cooling on a calm night. but on the other hand on a windy night, some amount of warmer wind mixed downward to the earth' surface, which is stop the dropping of temperature quickly as they would on a clear night. so the temperature is slightly warmer on windy nights as compared to the calm night.
The idea which can refrain us from the heating--
We have seen the scenario of how the solar heating the earth surface and how it is cooling in the night time. Now we will discuss some ideas which can refrain from it.
The reflection of the light depends on how is the color of the surface because it shows how much light will reflect from it. The pant turns does not reflect the light energy and its not heat the energy and not raise the temperature.
If we talk about the energy conservation it can be explained In many ways and paint color can take as the example for it. And by the use of any color paint on our home and also on our vehicle, we can stop the heating when the temperature is so high in the daytime in the clear sky. And by the use of color paint, we can keep it at a suitable temperature.
Under the night sky and in sunlight, the color paint can affect the metal squares temperature. And this all above procedure is so valuable in our life.
