RE: You Cannot Cure Depression with Depression
Clinical depression is a chemical imbalance in the brain. Antidepressants help correct that balance and allow the patients to start doing something constructive.
You wouldn't tell someone with a broken leg to "just walk".
You wouldn't tell someone with diabetes "just eat right, that insulin you're taking only fights the symptoms!"
So why tell someone with a chemical imbalance in their brain that they just need to realize that they "are not depression they just experience it"?
"You are not cancer, you just experience it!" sounds shitty, doesn't it.
on point!
