Kalashnikov – Yes The One Making AK-47s – Will Be Making An Electric Car
The legendary maker of weapons and other military systems – Kalashnikov – has introduced a concept of an electric supercar. The CV-1 and want to compete with other electric car makers like Tesla.
The design of the car is based on the Иж-2125 Combi that was initially sold back in 1973. And the design very much looks like something from the seventies and you might easily think this is a joke. But the information is straight from the official Kalashnikov website so it is true. Kalashnikov obviously wants to use nostalgia in Eastern Europe to sell this car.
The car should have about 220 kW (295 horsepower) and its 90kWh battery should allow it to drive for about 350 km (220 miles). But so far we have no information when Kalashnikov wants to produce and sell the car.

As much as I don't like weapon manufacturers, this brought a smile to my face and reminds me of an old Lada model that you could often see around the Balkans (technologically speaking) a long long time ago.. Hope they stop making weapons and make more of these :-)
Yes it does look like an old Lada haha.
