A mythical creature that remains a mystery until now.

Dear stemian - this time I want to discuss the mythical creatures that until now still a mystery in society, I also do not know whether these creatures still exist not, but I will explain one by one.

1. Dragon

Dragon is one of the most popular mythical creatures that often appear in folklore, fantasy movies, or fiction novels.

The creature is depicted as a large figure, has wings - some are without wings - and can spray fire.

Usually in fiction, dragons are classified into two types, good and evil.

Evil drags attack humans and cause damage, while good ones become 'protectors' and human companions.

Although there is no concrete evidence to mention that the creature is real, some say that the Komodo dragon is a descendant of a smaller size.

Of course also without breath that can spray fire and flying ability.

2. Hobbits

Recent research on the origin of humans finds a new theory that says that in Indonesia found human fossils known as Hobbits.

Hobbits itself is actually the name given by a novelist, J.R.R Tolkien. Humans who have a larger leg frame and shorter body was popularized in the film fantasy 'Lord of the Ring'.

The discovery of skeletons on the island of Flores is touted to look like Hobbits dating back 12,000 years ago.

3. Kraken

Sea monsters with dozens of these tentacles live on the ocean floor. Kraken is a popular mystical creature in the story of Hercules, Son of Zeus.

The Kraken is described as an octopus-like sea creature with a head that looks more like a monstrous monster and likes to prey on sailing vessels in its territory, the Greenland Sea.

Kraken is also described as a sea monster that has a very long life, can even reach thousands of years.

The legend of the Kraken lived for thousands of years. Though fictional, Kraken appears in the Norwegian natural history book, '1753 History History of Norway' published in 1752 by Bishop Borgen, Erik Pontoppidan.

In 2011, researchers claimed to find evidence that the mystical creature really exists. Mark McMenamin, a paleoanthropologist from Mount Holyoke College, Massachusetts, who claims to discover the remains of sea creatures, where the Kraken is allegedly behind their deaths.

McMenamin said the evidence for the existence of the Kraken - which can reach 30 meters in length - comes from the gaping scar that is in the body of giant marine reptiles - predators, ichthyosaurs that resemble school buses. The creature was drowned with a broken neck condition.

The findings were presented at a meeting of the Geological Society of America in Minneapolis. Researchers claim, the basic theory is, the location of fossils and marks on bone suction. While critics assume, his claim is nothing more than a conjecture.

The theory came when McMenamin began researching nine remnants of ichthyosaur from the Shonisaur species in Berlin-Ichthyosaur State Park in Nevada

4. Amazons

If you are an anime movie lover or One Piece cartoon, surely you've heard the name of Amazon.

Amazon's name is often associated with the presence of groups of female soldiers who live deep in the forest, without the presence of men among them.

These tough women are believed to hate men. Nevertheless, the soldiers will still 'capture' some of the Adamites to continue the descendants of the Amazon.

The women were described as a group of archery experts, climbing trees, and very good at martial arts.

However, there are no records in history, books, or stories that explain the extinction of this people.

Giant Wolves

5. Direworf

The gigantic 'giant' wolf owned by the Stark family in the Game of Thrones movie, is not a mere fiction animal.

Although not very large as in the story, dire wolf (Direwolf) is an extinct species.

Direwolf is a type of wolf that lives in North America and belongs to the Canis genes.

This species is categorized as a very scary animal and is often referred to as a 'fierce dog'.

This animal has a body as big as a gray wolf, only bigger.

This is just a story that is not necessarily the truth, so do not take it too seriously to respond to this article. Thank you
