NASA called this discovery a new record. The Space Agency said in its press release that the Spitzer Space Telescope found that these planets are as big as the Earth in the shape and are within the scope of 'Residential Zone'.

According to NASA, these three planets can be worth living. The star around this star is named TRAPPIST-1. This star is 40 light years away from Earth.

So far 3,500 planets have been discovered out of the solar system. These newly discovered planets are also one of them.

This new discovery of NASA has been published in the prestigious journal Nature. Even before this, research related to it has been published.

In fact, researchers are searching for earth-like rocky planets, where there are favorable conditions of temperature. This is because in these conditions water can be found in the liquid state, which is a mandatory basic condition for life.

नासा ने इस खोज को नया रिकॉर्ड बताया. इस अंतरिक्ष एजेंसी ने अपनी प्रेस रिलीज में कहा कि स्पिट्जर स्‍पेस टेलीस्‍कोप ने पाया कि ये ग्रह आकार में पृथ्‍वी जितने बड़े हैं और 'आवासीय जोन' के दायरे में आते हैं |

नासा के मुताबिक ये तीन ग्रह रहने लायक हो सकते हैं. जिस तारे के इर्द-गिर्द ये हैं, उस स्‍टार का नाम TRAPPIST-1 है. यह स्‍टार पृथ्‍वी से 40 प्रकाश वर्ष दूर है |
अभी तक सौरमंडल के बाहर 3,500 ग्रहों की खोज हुई है. ये नए खोजे गए ग्रह भी उन्‍हीं में से एक हैं |

नासा की खोज संबंधी यह नया शोध प्रतिष्ठित जर्नल नेचर में प्रकाशित हुआ है. इससे पहले भी इससे संबंधित रिसर्च प्रकाशित हुए हैं |

वास्‍तव में शोधकर्ता पृथ्‍वी की तरह के ऐसे चट्टानी ग्रहों की खोज कर रहे हैं, जहां तापमान की अनुकूल दशाएं हों. ऐसा इसलिए क्‍योंकि इन्‍हीं दशाओं में ही तरल अवस्‍था में पानी पाया जा सकता है जो जीवन के लिए अनिवार्य बुनियादी शर्त है |
