NASA publishes a ghostly photograph of Jupiter's clouds
The National Administration of Aeronautics and Space (NASA) released the snapshot last Friday. It was taken by the Juno spacecraft at 6,200 kilometers above the planet's clouds.
NASA released a snapshot on Friday showing a set of unusual "high-altitude" clouds surrounded by eddies in the atmosphere of Jupiter's North North Tempered Belt.
The phantasmagoric image was taken last July 15 by the spacecraft Juno during one of its approaches, when it was 6,200 kilometers above the clouds of this planet.
The North North Tempered Belt is one of the many rings of colorful and turbulent clouds of said planet located in our solar system. For decades, scientists have wondered about how these rings extend, reaching the conclusion that they penetrate 3,000 kilometers deep on this planet.
