The picture above is that of a 26-year-old man who has spent nothing less than $60,000 (£45,000) to look like a real-life elf.

Luis Padron a 26 year old man from Buenos Ares, Argentina is a fantasy fanatic who had just enough money to make his dream come true by undergoing a surgery that transformed him into a 'real life elf'.

According to the real life anime, he had always wanted to transform himself into a mythical creature since he was a teenager, after finding solace and acceptance away from bullies in the fantasy world.

Lius went through liposuction on his jaw, rhinoplasty, full body hair removal, laser skin bleaching, an op to create a 'vampiric' widow's peak hairline, had his ears cut apart and reshaped to resemble the pointy appendages of an elf, his jaw broken, filed and screwed back together into a diamond shape, similar to an anime character and more.

The new reshaped lius seems to be enjoying his new found self and hopes that he gets be a cast in the new Lord of the Rings TV series as an elf.
