AFRICA, THE LAND OF INNOVATION- IMAGINE WHAT THIS ONES COULD DO WITH THE BLOCKCHAIN!
Augustine and the Minuscule Hydro-power plant
This is the story of a college graduate who constructed a mini-Hydro power plant with local materials to power his village...
There are talents and Brains all over the continent of Africa, in millions of brilliant individuals; some of this innovative skills are lying fallow and dormant in several youth, only a few has tapped into their full potentials by implementing this talents in their various regions. A ship loads of this talents are still waiting to be tapped!
Despite the Socio-economical conditions in the continent, a handful of this intelligent youth still manifested with their innovative skills. It is the duty of a Nation to help develop local talents by all means, that is the way forward for any country that wishes to attain greatness.
A college graduate with a degree in Electronic and Computer Technology; Augustine Otuokwa Ogar by name has fabricated a minuscule Hydro-Electric Power station with a 200 Watts capacity which is capable of generating electricity for it's surrounding village together with the generating site of the Mini-plant.
Located in Cross River State of Nigeria West Africa, in a village called Mgbaeshuo village of wula community; Eastern Boki, Boki Local Government. Mr. Augustine had used local materials carefully selected to meet the power generation requirement.
MODE OF OPERATION
After construction, Kinetic Energy of the Flowing stream/River was converted into Electric Energy usable/consumable by the villagers.
When the Turbine spins, the Electromagnetic Field converts the Mechanical Energy into Electric Energy. The flow rate of the stream water is slow because it is not a "Dam" or a waterfall, i was able to convert the small stream with low flowing water to bring pressure and fall like a real time Dam- Augustine Otuokwa
The energy is produced on a little-scale with "run off" installation of a naturally flowing stream of water to rotate and spin the turbines. With speed, the water moves past the turbine; knocking it's blades and producing a rotational motion which converts the Kinetic energy of the water into Mechanical Energy. After this processes, the water flows out of the little stream and flows continuously down the stream.
A SOLUTION TO ENERGY CRISIS
Here is a solution to power generation privatization, only if the Government opens it's eyes and foster intelligent youths in every corners of the Country who could produce a long lasting solution to inconsistent Energy which is crippling the Economy of so many developing countries.

Wow! What a laudable project by Augustine. He could actually make money if he could generate enough electricity and sell to the national grid.
Great post @oluwoleolaide, well done.
Problem is, once he generates the ones he needs the rest goes to the National Grid pro-bono.
Seriously???
Amazing. That can be established in our country too........... wow
Salute that genius...
Yeah, am sure you have some amazing and brilliant talents in your country too.
yeah..... but this one is unique...
There are talented inventors and scientists in Nigeria. I'm glad that some of them are getting international recognition although, the ones that studied abroad find it easier...
Hopefully Nigerian government will begin to support this sort of inventions..these are the kind of things Minister for Education or minister of science and technology should be looking into but alas....
They are too busy siphoning the Nations funds
wow
innovations like this always make me wish am already into uni. but still not a set back tho.
would do something nice one day and put jamb to shame
You bet bro, May the Steem-Force be with you!
in countries with few resources and underdeveloped we find great talents but these very little are taken advantage of due to the situation in the country. Very few manage to reach the classrooms thanks to the contribution.
thanks for the input dear @chamovnzl
This is one of the very many inventions of Nigerians that has been overlooked. Government isn't looking this direction at all and if private guys are to come in, it's going to be serious exploitation
You Nailed it, Government slacks and Private Sectors rip people off
The Governments slumbers while Private sectors Rip people off their hard earned Money.
I won't give up on praying for a sound leader
We desperately need one
Omg, this is awesome. Youths doing something meaningful and not waiting on the govt. Steemit and other platforms are here to help us not to depend on the govt. Awesome post Capt.
You Bet Sweet one, one of our tasks this year!
thank's for info
What info?...Did you read before dropping off the chart comment?
And you keep getting flags. Smh
wow its a great post... i learn many thing from your post..... keep it up brother....@resteemed
Wow this is mind-blowing. We are really blessed with priceless talents but our leaders don't seem to value any of this. May God help us
