The moon's average distance from the Earth is 384,400 km (238,555 miles).
So much space.
This is enough room to fit all of the other planet in our solar system between them.
The Breakdown.
Here are the diameters of each planet.
- Mercury - 4,878 km
- Venus - 12,104 km
- Mars - 6,870 km
- Jupiter - 139,822 km
- Saturn - 116,464 km
- Uranus - 50,724 km
- Neptune - 49,248 km
- As a bonus dwarf planet Pluto - 2,400 km
Total distance: 382,510 km that fits snugly into 384,400 km.
