PLANETARIUM Luis Enrique Erro/ Mexico City / The best way to keep in touch with the universe

The Planetarium “Luis Enrique Erro”, belonging to IPN, one of the best colleges in Mexico, is considered to be the most modern planetarium in Latin America since in its period of renovation a high resolution projection system was installed which, according to words from the Director of the Center for the Dissemination of Science and Technology (Cedicyt), will not only know and project astronomical issues, but it will make possible the teaching of any science or art.

El Planetario Luis Enrique Erro, perteneciente al IPN, una de las mejores universidades de México, es considerado como el planetario más moderno con el que cuenta Latinoamérica ya que en su periodo de renovación se instaló un sistema de proyección de alta resolución que, según palabras del director del Centro de Difusión de Ciencia y Tecnología (Cedicyt), permitirá no sólo conocer y proyectar cuestiones astronómicas, sino que hará posible la enseñanza de cualquier ciencia o arte.

This planetarium is named after the Mexican scientist Luis Enrique Erro Soler, who was an important precursor of the consolidation of the astrophysical sciences in this country, as well as an important personage in the creation of the IPN and the National Astrophysical Observatory of Tonantzintla (OANTON)

In its dome, it offers several projections relative to diverse subjects related to the universe, that go from the Maya conception of it, until the technology currently used in space explorations.

Part of this space is dedicated to a museum where you can observe research, knowledge and astronomical representations of ancient American cultures. Likewise, you will be able to observe reconnaissance vehicles and scale models of satellites and spacecraft.
