Cows may help in healing HIV disease

Scientists have found in a research that cows have extraordinary caliber that can be used to heal AIDS. This invention can be able to fight and stop the spread of malignant HIV virus. This disease can transmit from one to another and currently it is untreatable. A test was conducted at Texas A & M University, in which scientists administered HIV in cows, and within 35 days they found some improvement in resistance power in those cows.

After this research, the cells of the cows were sent to laboratory for examination which revealed that one of those cells has ability to fight HIV. Scientists then used those antibody cells to make an injection which was administered into patients with HIV. They found that those cells successfully deactivated the effect of HIV in the patients. It may be used to make a vaccine, but it is not yet decided when it will be prepared.  

How experiment was done

Scientists included 4 cows in their research and administered two injections into each cow. Within 30 to 35 days, they found a growth in antibody cells. 

Why scientists chose cows for their experiment?

According to scientists, the immune system of the cows can effectively fight HIV or similar viruses. When such virus attacks the cows, their immune system produces huge antibody cells that neutralize the effect of HIV virus. Devin Sok, chief author of the research related to the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative, says that HIV is such a virus which influences human body, but all organisms are able to heal HIV.

There are 3.67 million people who are suffering from HIV, but only 1.95 patients are getting treatment. After the epidemic in 1980, 3.5 million patients have died till now. 

No treatment is available

In present time, no treatment is available for HIV. Patients with this disease have to take medicine for vomiting, insomnia throughout the whole life.
