These scientists created a robot capable of identifying a set of odors with 10,000 times more precision than some specialized electronic devices created to date. The most curious thing is that they have achieved this by creating a "cyborg", a robot to which a set of antennae of an African locust is connected.

The antennas are connected to a system that measures the electrical signals by these antennas when they detect an odor and these electrical signals are processed by artificial intelligence capable of pairing each set of signals with a particular odor, with this the system was able to distinguish eight different pure smells.
