Interesting. My knowledge of such things go back to the begining of your post - at the science museum touching the metal ball and making your hair stand up Haha. The rest mostly goes over my head. I definitely learned something though. I always thought they were called Tesla coils though. I wonder if a Van degraph generator and a Tesla coil are the same thing? I'll have to look into that. Now I'm curious lol.
