NASA tests the robot that will colonize Mars

Specialists from NASA and its Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center in Texas have shown what the Valkyrie humanoid robot is capable of planning to send to Mars in the future to help colonize the Red Planet .

In the video of the test of the robot, published by the Institute IHMC Robotics, responsible for the algorithm for the management of the machine, we can see how Valkyrie successfully performs an autonomous walk on a sinuous and uneven road, equipped with 200 sensors placed at the head , Shoulders, abdomen and legs.

Valkyrie is a robust, fully electronic robot, specially designed to operate under extreme temperatures and environments hostile to human life. The machine, which measures 1.90 meters and weighs 125 kilos, has arms, legs and hands fully articulated and moves thanks to the energy provided by a battery.
