Michael Phelps will compete against a shark
Michael Phelps, the American swimmer who has been Olympic champion 23 times and has broken 39 world records, will compete against a white shark in a test organized by the Discovery Channel.
In the framework of the 29th Shark Week, the best human being in the water will face "one of the fastest and most efficient predators" on the planet, of the few rivals he has yet to overcome.
This channel will broadcast the 'Baltimore Shark' challenge, which took place at the Bimini Sharklab in the Bahamas on 23 July.
The sportsman has published in his Instagram account an image of mourning, which has allowed him to perform an activity that was present in his list of actions to perform before he died and that "always" wanted to do: submerge with white sharks protected by a cage.
Assumimg the shark swims in a straight line to the destination, this isn't even a close contest lol.
I hope they take the appropriate safety precautions. They're misunderstood creatures and all but they still do attack humans.
sounds badass... until the mention of the "protected by a cage." haha.
