Yes, the galaxy got the name because it looks like a whale. Its actual name is NGC 4631. It is a spiral or spiral galaxy. Its distance is 2.5 million light years. Seeing marginally, it looks like whale fish (whales are not fish). It's just like our Milky Way galaxy in size.
