Charring
A chemical process of incomplete combustion of certain solids when subjected to high temperature giving out residue called char. In the process , hydrogen and oxygen are removed from the solid leaving carbon as the primary component of Char.

what is that?
It is char a product of charring. CHarring is done through heating a solid. When you heat a wood it becomes a charcoal. Just like that :)
