Many of this can be found all over the web. I used USGS for the gas list and for the ash coverage. The volcanic winter effects come from the eruption of Mt Toba in Sumatra, The 2nd largest super volcano. When Toba erupted it killed 90% of the human population. It erupted right around the end of the last ice age when humans where first starting to leave Africa
