A bit of biology
I'm writing a Biology exam soon and what's a better way of learning than teaching? So here is some biology that you might not have known.

- Biodiversity of Animals
There are 30 different phylums in which to classify animals, but we only focus on the most important 6 phylums.
- Porifera (ex sponges)
- Cnidaria (ex jellyfish)
- Platyhelmisthes (ex flatworms)
- Annelida (ex earthworms)
- Arthropoda (ex spiders)
- Chordata (ex mammals)
Animals are classified according to their body plan.
There are 4 common features that influence the classification of animals :
- Symmetry and cephilisation
- Number of tissue layers in embryo
- Type of digestive tract
- Presence or absence of coelom
- Biodiversity of Plants
Plants are classified into 4 groups :
- Bryophytes (ex mosses)
- Pteridophytes (ex ferns)
- Gymnosperms (ex pine trees)
- Angiosperms (ex flowering plants)
- Human digestive system
The digestive system can be split into two parts the alimentary canal and the accessory organs.
Alimentary canal :
· Mouth and mouth cavity
· Pharynx
· Oesophagus
· Stomach
· Small intestine
· Large intestine
Accessory organs :
·Tongue
·Teeth
·Salivary glands
·Pancreas
·Liver
·Gall bladder
This is an extremely brief summary of about only 1/3 of what we had to study. We go into each of my points in depth.

Just a question, can you define the categories? (6 phylums and the 4 groups of the plants) I can look it up for myself, but like you said, a better way of learning is to teach. But a teacher has to explain to a student so that people from outside the course can also understand it.
