More on topic with the post; this is just an introduction to these ideas. When I was younger, I played a lot of the game Super Mario World. There was a feather power-up which gave you a cape that allowed you to fly. In order to fly the highest and farthest, you needed to oscillate between pressing up and down with good timing. If you pressed up too much, you would stall. If you pressed down too much, you would crash.

There is a time to build up and a time to tear down...
