What is hydrology

Hydrology as a field if science is very salient,it entails all forms if water resources element,availability of water on earth surface,formation of precipitation types,and causes of some water related disaster.

What then is hydrology
Hydrology is a branch of science that deals with the scientific study of water.it further extends to the study of the distribution,occurence,and properties of water.

The study of hydrology is relevant because it helps man to relate with the most abundance resources on earth surface.
Some researchers deduce that water is life,though may seems hard to believe but this statement is actually true;Averagely, man can be frustrated,stranded,and helpless when they are denied access to this resource within just 48hrs.
Water is equally important for agricultural usage,environmantal use,recreational use,domestic use and industrial use.

One thing that baffles me is that water covers over 70% of the earth surface but still some places on earth dont have access to good and potable water,some dont even have access to water at all. At this point,my question is, is hydrology not worth studying?
This made me more interested in this field of study,as an hydrologist i tend to provide solution to water problems all over the universe
