Scientific explanation for technologically advanced aliens
It's not a theory, it's a logical fact. Assuming there are aliens, here's why there's a big chance they know a lot more than us.
The universe is around 13.8 billion years old and it expands over time. Our planet is only 4.5 billion years old, the same age of the Sun, which falls in the yellow dwarf star category. There are other stars of the same category out there, but some of them are older.
Let's consider a random system containing a star only 0.5 billion years older with an orbiting planet lucky enough to meet the requirements of being able to sustain life. We should also assume at least one of the species ended up developing a civilization. All of this is likely to have happened because the universe is just that big.
Imagining this species didn't become extinct, that means there is a civilization out there 500 million years older than our own. They're already at that stage while we've only started our civilized ways 6000 years ago. Those aliens are already at a stage we can only catch up after millions of generations.
This isn't only possible, it's very probable, but how come we didn't find anything yet? This in itself is called the Fermi Paradox, to which I propose another solution in my newest post.
Thank you for reading!
Of course, many solutions to the Fermi Paradox suggest that civilizations destroy themselves before they get that advanced...
I'm glad you stopped by. I don't think the Fermi Paradox makes any sense, honestly. It is unrealistic to me for a few reasons:

I agree with @darth-azreal, maybe they existed long ago and are all now extinct, as the way that we ruin this planet, in a couple of centuries all life here will also become extinct! Blessings and upvoted!
Thank you for commenting! I find that very unreal, please look at my reply to his comment.
