Do you remember when SARS happened? Do you remember MERS? Both were as infectious as COVID-19 and MERS was far more deadly. Only 10,000 people died of SARS and 2500 people died of MERS. In every epidemic before, they quarantined the sick and blocked travel from infected countries. My country Canada had travel restrictions imposed on it.

In late April 2003, the World Health Organization (WHO) issued an advisory against all non-essential travel to Toronto. Government officials and experts criticized the decision as being unnecessary at a time when the outbreak was dwindling. The WHO lifted the advisory after a little more than a week.
During the outbreak, thousands of Canadians were quarantined. Many voluntarily quarantined themselves in their homes. Airports in Toronto and Vancouver screened travellers for high fever. In total, there were 438 probable cases of SARS in Canada, resulting in 44 deaths.

You will note that the Case Fatality Rate (CFR) of SARS was 10% (44:438). In contrast, the COVID-19 CFR in Canada is 1.7% (28,474:1,681,669). I am not saying there is a conspiracy. I will say that maybe the people in charge are not as adept as in the past.

Bringing inadequately tested treatments to widespread use

That is a real-life example showing that any form of therapy must be thoroughly tested before widespread adoption. In my lifetime there was a drug prescribed for women called Thalidomide.

In November 1961, German citizens were shocked to learn about thousands of babies born with severe birth defects in their country.
Most of the babies were born with deformities of the arms and/or legs (phocomelia). Additional injuries to the kidneys, heart, gastrointestinal tract, reproductive organs, ears and eyes were sometimes not discovered until decades later.
Some doctors suspected that thalidomide, a popular remedy for insomnia, headaches, “tension” and nausea, caused the birth defects. Unfortunately, the drug manufacturer, Chemie Grünenthal (now Grünenthal) rejected the doctors’ suspicions as unproven speculation.
THE THALIDOMIDE DISASTER IN GERMANY

The mRNA inoculation is a poorly tested method of treating viruses. If you knew that the "vaccine" may increase your chances of Alzheimer’s disease would you have decided to roll it out to everyone on the planet without further study?

Furthermore, the spike protein, created by the translation of the vaccine RNA, binds angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2), a zinc-containing enzyme. This interaction has the potential to increase intracellular zinc. Zinc ions have been shown to cause the transformation of TDP-43 to its pathologic prion configuration. The folding of TDP-43 and FUS into their pathologic prion confirmations is known to cause ALS, front temporal lobar degeneration, Alzheimer’s disease and other neurological degenerative diseases.
COVID-19 RNA Based Vaccines and the Risk of Prion Disease

The mRNA vaccine creates a protein (the spike protein) that the immune system uses to identify a foreign body. In the virus, the spike protein (the key) targets the ACE2 receptors (the lock). By opening the cell, the virus is able to transmit its own "DNA" into the cell and "tricks" the cell to reproduce the virus. In the vaccine, the spike protein activates the ACE2 receptors without infecting the cell with a viral payload. However, the body doesn't have an easy way of disabling the "Key" so the ACE2 receptors keep passing on their normal message. Part of its role is to activate Mast Cells which can cascade into a series of autoimmune issues.

Thalidomide was administered to thousands of people. COVID-19 mRNA vaccines are administered to billions of people.
