Materials needed:
connecting wires
voltmeter
resistance box

Connect the circuit as shown above.
When the key is closed, 1 Ohm resistor is removed band the potential difference, V is taken. The students were made to evaluate V inverse and R inverse.
The experiment was repeated for four other values of R which are 3, 5, 7, 9 and in each case V is found. V inverse and R inverse was evaluated.
They were made to plot graph of V inverse against R inverse.
The slope was found and the intercept on the vertical axis was found.
