RE: Neil DeGrasse Tyson vs. Eric Dubay JRE Debate by Elissa Hawke

in #science6 years ago

The trouble with these... ideas of a debate, is that the current models have holes that you could drive an asteroid through.

But, the current teaching method is "settled science".

So... the whole field of science is trying to keep up the façade that we know things. When all around us scientists (often in garages) are finding holes everywhere.

I mean, just look at microchips. We can't make them smaller because of electron tunnelling. Meaning, everything we taught in school about fields and EM is wrong. But, we still hold onto the old texts, because they sorta work. Sorta...

But really, what this boils down to is the death spiral of materialistic science. The death of the idea that there is an objective reality out there that the viewer doesn't effect.

And the shape of the earth, when we actually discover it, will blow all of our minds.
