Gravitational Lens (Proposed Explanation)

Lens effect on light due to large bodies (commonly know as Gravitational lens)

It is commonly accepted, light bends more noticeably as it propagates past large object such as planets, galaxies or black holes. This phenomenon is thought to be caused by gravity. I would like to offer for your review an alternate explanation for such behavior as well as give an insight on what gravity is. In order to accomplish this I will use renderings.

To start with, light is a 3 dimensional wave represented here as a 2 dimensional wave as follows:

In order for light to bend, we will introduce a large object represented by Jupiter

Also, I would like to introduce in to this concept something invisible yet prevalent in the universe and that is time. It is well known that the rate of time change is slower near an object than when measured at a far. This time change is represented by the rings around the mass. Where the nearest ring T1 time flows slower than T2. Also, I would like to introduce in to this concept something invisible yet prevalent in the universe and that is time. As light nears Jupiter

It becomes apparent that Light is affected by this time rate difference. At the farthest peak of the wave, time travels faster and slower at the closest. This time rate difference is what deforms the path of light. Because time rate changes faster at T2 it allows the wave to travel farther at the peak for D1 distance than at the trough of the wave in the D2 distance.

Ultimately bending the light

This time rate difference affects all objects in the same manner creating the effect perceived as gravity.
