Is it end of Alzheimer disease? POSSIBLE!
Fact that you are reading this post means that you want to know how and why Alzheimer might be cured soon. Good, I am sure that my article will put some light in this case :)
Grab your coffee and read.
What is Alzheimer
The Main point to understand why relevant research might change the quality of life of billions of people is to understand what causes this disease. Alzheimer is a neurodegenerative disease. I know, it sounds so complicated. So, I will try to explain it in plain language. Our bran is composed of a network of neurons and supportive cells. Those neurons are passing signal which allows as to think, move, react. In general, to live. It is commonly believed that neurons cannot differentiate so if you will break some of them, new never “grow up”. It sounds terrible, isn’t it? Especially when you realize that you can “kill them” in so many ways. One of them is alcohol and age.
Symptoms and Signs of Alzheimer.
Most of us connect Alzheimer with memory problem which is completely fine and true. But this is a little more complicated. Commonly existing problems include:
• Problems with planning and critical thinking
• Confusion
• Problems with finishing daily tasks
• Problems with writing and speaking
• Inappropriate judgment
• Changes in mood
These symptoms aren’t all of them, but it might show you how complicated problem is. This terrible disease touches not just a patient but also his/her relatives.
Solution?
According to recent papers, we must forget about previous thoughts about neurons and their lack of regeneration capability. In human brain have been found Neuronal Stem Cells (NCS). Ok, cool but what does it mean and what are those NCS. Stem Cells are cells which can differentiate into any cell of their species. Since we are talking about Neuronal Stem Cells, we are sure that they can grow up in any cell from the neuronal network. In this capability, we see amazing opportunity to cure neurodegenerative disease like Alzheimer! Growing “new neurons” will allow us to cure damaged structures in our brain. Moreover, we can grow then Ex vivo which will allow us to transplant them into places they are needed! Taking other strategies might be also a solution in other traumas or other pathological conditions as trauma.
Conclusion
Since studies about NCS are in the clinical stage we must cross our fingers. It looks that we are in front of huge change in medicine. Even if it does not cure completely disease, it would increase quality of life of patients and their relatives
What do you think? Will it change future of humanity and medicine?

Great post and very interesting subject! I reckon that it could be milestone, if the clinical stage be finish with succeed. Nowadays, number of people suffering from Alzheimer's disease is rising, so I keep my fingers crossed for the clinical stage!
I heard the migraine the day after excessive alcohol consumption is cause by the slow-down of neurogenesis, among other causes including killing some of the already produced cells.. I think we can start curing it by not drinking alcohol and eating appropriately, having sex and such, which are factors supporting new cells growth.
This is a healthy lifestyle! :)
