Transistor is an active part of the electronic circuit. It has at least three connections. The two most common transistors are: Bipolar and Field Effect. On 16 December 1947, William Shawkie, John Bardin and Walter Bratain of Bell Laboratories were able to create the world's first practical point-contact transistor.
