Marie Salomea Skłodowska Curie (1867-1934)
Marie Curie is undoubtedly the best-known scientist of the twentieth century. Pionera, along with her husband Pierre Curie, in the study of radioactivity was the first woman to receive a Nobel Prize and, to date, the only person who has received two Nobel Prizes in different scientific disciplines (Physics and Chemistry).
He discovered the elements Radio and Polonium initiating research in radioactivity, fundamental in the study of the atomic structure of matter and with applications in medicine and other disciplines.
