great inforamtion about geological survey you have shared @gavvet, Serengeti is a geographical region in Africa,The Serengeti hosts the largest terrestrial mammal migration in the world, which helps secure it as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa,and africa always surprised everyone.Reck had really done very wonderful discovery "oldoway man" upvoted and resteemed.Thank you.
You know one time the Serengeti plains stretched all the way to what is now known as the Sahara desert. It crazy how climate change can really change the face of the earth. O once thought of building a pipeline into the desert and letting the sand filter the salt from the water. Until i learned you need energy to remove dissovled materials from water. But nonetheless a Megaproject spanning sahara and sahel nations would put a nice % of unemployed africans to work and generate billions in just land sales after its completion not to mention the money to be made from the crops that would be able to be grown. one can dream :)
