Plastron (shell bottom) is also smooth and yellowish green with a different pattern and unique. The turtle's baby has a bright green-colored and slightly supple (soft) carapace, but when they mature the carapace is dark green. The older the age of the turtle, the pattern becomes increasingly dimly seen because the color of the carapace becomes darker and the red color in the ear area fades.
