MAJESTUOUS ARCOÍRIS PHENOMENON. (DOUBLE RAINBOW)

Hello friends of steemit. How did you wake up today? Yesterday, in the city of Maracaibo, at 5 o'clock in the afternoon, this marvelous rainbow formed, of which my friend Rebeca and I saw double rainbows which is not very common to see. It was possible to capture its entire splendor with the cell phone camera, but I think that this image is very propitious to explain its meaning.

Since the first civilizations the rainbows have impassioned people. Its inherent beauty has captivated people from all continents and today many religions take it as a symbol of great importance, as well as being a universal symbol of activism and pacifism. But behind this beauty there is a scientific explanation; do you know how the rainbow is formed? Right now you will discover it.
WHAT IS THE RAINBOW
A rainbow or rainbow is an optical and meteorological phenomenon that consists in the appearance in the sky of an arc (sometimes, two) of multicolored light, caused by the decomposition of sunlight in the visible spectrum, which is produced by refraction, when the sun's rays pass through small drops of water ...

Another definition of this majestic phenomenon that has captivated humanity.
What is a rainbow exactly?
Let's start by defining the rainbow as a spectrum of light in the form of an arc in which the seven colors of the visible spectrum of light are decomposed. Those colors, naturally, are: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet.
Now, how does a rainbow form exactly? The formation of the rainbow occurs when the white light that comes from the Sun passes through the water particles found in the atmosphere. The water in the atmosphere acts as a translucent prism through which the white light is broken down into the seven colors mentioned above.
The arched shape of the, redundancy, rainbow, is partly due to the angle at which the water molecules decompose the rays of white light, however, the rainbows are actually whole circles of which we only see half.

Now, at other times, the rainbow does not have an arch shape, but has the shape of a complete circle and is called halo. When this happens, it is not water droplets that refract light rays, but ice particles present in the troposphere.
