IGCSE pro tips
So recently i just took my GCSE's spent quite a while getting ready for it, and i thought why not give advices to the people the year below me that are going to take it. So yeah, judging from the title these are my pro tips for the GCSEs.
manage your time well
So in my opinion this was something i did quite well, in the longer exams such and literature and the long business paper. (paper 2?) So learning to manage your time in these tests is quite important, every once in a while glance at the clock to estimate how long you have for the test and how long you will take to finish each question. As if you don't do it, you might have the last 5 mins of the test to finish like a 12 mark question.study for all subjects (even easy ones)
This might be one of the aspects of the test i screwed up on, putting mostly my focus on some subjects more tan others can really screw you over. I tried putting more of my time and effort to studying things like science, geography and business. When i did the ICT theory tests, there was a 8 or 6 mark question on telephone banking i had no idea how to do. This can really demoralise you, because you feel that you are losing out on quite big marks. Which would probably affect your confidence on the next few questionsDO NOT STUDY 3< FOR THE TEST
Another mistake i made is completely giving up on english literature, then in the final 2 days before the test, picking up a text book and revising like a complete madman. Some information did seep into my brain, but i felt i could've done much much better if i decided to put some legit effort when there was still weeks of time (i just want a C to pass cause i'm not taking it next year)
So that concludes it for my advice to the people taking the exam next year, and you should DEFINITELY start studying now. Ask your teachers on the things that you are unclear about, and look through your books maybe 30 mins everyday. That would be good enough to get you a B-A. May the best of luck be with you.
(up vote if you liked, would be appreciated :)
