The Jade Lake of Dachaidan: A Quest for Beauty Amid Drought

The once-glorious Jade Lake in Dachaidan has succumbed to severe dryness, with water levels now significantly lower, a far cry from the grandeur of Chaka Salt Lake.

Capturing a few decent photographs took considerable effort, but one shot managed to evoke the ethereal allure of a "mirror of the sky."

While it’s worth visiting if time allows, tempering expectations is advisable. Despite thorough research on Xiaohongshu and countless stunning images, the reality proved underwhelming. The right side is predominantly white salt flats, while the left consists of small, scattered lakes. Even the much-touted 346 site fell short of the enchanting visions I had imagined.
