A Day at the Harry Potter Studio Tour
It was only in early June that I considered bringing my young Harry Potter enthusiast to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter.
Upon checking the official website, I discovered that tickets were sold out until September.
Consequently, I enlisted the assistance of two ticket agents on Taobao to scour for tickets.
Despite their efforts for over a month, no tickets materialized, which underscores the immense popularity of the venue.
Having resigned myself to abandoning this destination,
I decided to try searching on a UK ticketing website yesterday.
Through Get Your Guide, I managed to secure three tickets for today 🎫!
I observed that tickets were consistently listed as "sold out" when purchasing admission only.
However, by selecting the option of adding round-trip transportation,
a limited number of tickets became available for several dates!
I suspect this might be a bundled sales tactic employed by the ticketing website.
Those struggling to obtain tickets might wish to try this approach.
Adding round-trip transportation proved to be quite beneficial, as it offered a direct and convenient means of reaching the studio.
We boarded the bus from a stop located near Kings Cross Station.
While awaiting our departure, we had the opportunity to visit Platform 9 ¾ for a photo opportunity.
The double-decker bus was themed after Harry Potter.
The journey lasted 1 hour and 10 minutes.
Each seat was equipped with an individual multimedia screen, allowing passengers to watch movies and play games, ensuring that children remained entertained.
Exploring the entire studio took approximately three hours.
There were both indoor and outdoor sets.
A restaurant and rest area midway through offered hamburgers and butterbeer.
After finishing my butterbeer, I nearly discarded the cup,
but a staff member informed me that we could take it home as a souvenir.
I then noticed many patrons washing their cups in the sinks near the restaurant area 😂.
So, I retrieved my cup and brought it home.
Prior to visiting, I had read somewhere that the wands sold at Universal Studios could be used for interactive experiences.
However, upon arriving, I discovered that this was not the case; the wand served only as a photographic prop.
The day was not overly exhausting.
Upon returning to Kings Cross, we disembarked near Nandos.
This served as a perfect conclusion to the day!
