Illegal immigration scams are everywhere. Millions of people pay lots of money for a secret passage to a richer country, only to find they have been cheated. Those who make it are scammed again when they arrive. As illegals they can’t get housing or benefits or jobs, so they are forced into illegal work like prostitution or hard labour with promises that are never paid. Then men are forced to become cheats, theives, drug-dealers, drug courriers or beggars. They are eventually arrested by the police and jailed or sent back to their home country.

As we see on TV most of these boats never make it to Greece. The sea is far more treacherous than it looks. Most are swallowed up by the ocean which is so dangerous. Others are simply executed by the scammers and thrown overboard with no witnesses. These ones were lucky to find land, even if it was their home country.
