DON’T DO BUSINESS WITH GLOBALINVESTORALERTS.ORG
About a week ago, I received an email from someone at globalinvestoralerts.org, telling me that they were looking for people to fund a civil action lawsuit against an apparently well-known online pink sheets stock scam, stating that this company (Midas Capital) have scammed well over a hundred people out of their money by selling worthless stocks.
Their website, terrible formatting and unwarranted soliciting IMMEDIATELY set off my suspicions and I began to do some digging. Most other emails I would have probably ignored, but this was a company that proclaimed to be collecting money for a lawsuit on behalf of scam victims. They didn’t have any clear online references and instead their name only brought up allegations of fraud and scamming behavior, and sure enough, it turns out that globalinvestoalert.org is a clone of globalinvestoralert.com, a website that was already shut down by homestead.com, a hosting service, after repeated allegations of fraud by several very angry and irate customers. I found a list of other websites ALL with the EXACT SAME formatting, and most of the same content, media, etc.
All of these websites seem to work on the same way, purporting to be experts of international fraud, talking about specializing in cases of high-level stock fraud, and sporting an Emilia Chidester as a representative. Despite apparently being a US stockbroker and expert in fraud, Ms. Chidester has nearly no information on the web about herself whatsoever, and no references to speak of – all I could find aside from a Twitter page and the same cloned piece of content are several allegations of scamming behavior, and dozens of costumer complains in connection to boiler-rooms.org, which I think might be the center of this network of fraudulent websites.
