Bearshares | main dev has manipulated the ledger
SADLY | I will not be developing any more for that blockchain
This all started when i pointed out my concerns about the FAKE price feed he is forcing witnesses to publish
He wants the rewards to be artificially low so people has to buy BEARS to increase their power, he doesnt wants witnesses understanding or working on the blockchain, his only objetive seems to be scam a few dollars from knaive users.
I never expected when raising my concerns about the FAKE price feed all witnesses are asked/forced to display and all the educative posts and discussions that I made about it, that the reaction would be what followed:
1 -. I was banned from the official discord.
2 -. The Utility BOT i made to help witness and users was also banned
3 -. Witness votes were removed
All this are part of a personal campaign started by @bilalhaider because I am uncovering his shady practices.
LEDGER Manipulation
The owner paid himself 50.000 (fifty thousand) BEARS for the creation of a ruby library that is only used on his own bidbot as pay for work
Screenshot taken from bearshares wallet account.
He paid me 5.000 (five thousand) for the porting of the complete steem python libray that will enable anyone to make tools and enhance the blockchain.
I complained
Where is that 50k transfer ?
Apparently he has the ability to hide or revert wallet transactions, as you can see the payment for the 50.000 cannot be seen anymore, however as you can see in the following screenshot he himself accepts he paid himself that amount.
Then after i confronted him the transaction dissapeared.

These are very very worrisome facts, if he can revert or hide money transfers that means that none of your bearshares wallets is safe.
I would think about all this before putting another dime in bearshares platform
IF you are farming BEARS hoping they are worth something it is ok, but do not invest your hard earned $$.
Gladly he only scammed me of 50 SBD
It is a shame as there seems to be a great community flourishing.
Well, the founders don't have a very good reputation...
As far as i know there is only one founder Bilal, and i knew about him when i was a witness here, but his reputation is that he is just a pain in the ass (Which he is).
nope, there was another too and he did a runner near the start of the project. Bilal used to spam chat rooms with walls of horrible text so the chatrooms would be unusable.
From what I saw of bearshares was 6 months after it started it still was using the Steemit image and splash page :D
Still is, but that just changing a few images, If i cared about the looks i would have gone back to my WordPress site 2 years ago lol.
I look at the block-chain from the CLI on my server it is more fun. Usually those simple tasks like changing a web page are overlooked when looking for security flaws and dangerous modifications.
Which is what i was doing, and well he changed a few steemit rules (not totally against those changes) but in the process screwed the monetary policy and is doing nothing to fix that. (That is direction and strategy (suffice to take over the top20)
But the fact that he can and does modify the ledger makes that not a blockchain but a simple web hosting with an useless token.
You wont tell me that if you had the opportunity to go back in time and start steemit again you would not take it ?
The first thing i was building was Mazinga Z a bot to fight bots silently hahahaha I love doing forensic in the blockchain and unleashing automats to correct things. (Here i just never had enough SP as to make a difference)
The other you refer too is noganoo i arrived there recently and only heard bilal's version i dont know that guy never interacted with him so not much i can say.
Afterwards you always know better

I wish it was always better... it is usually worse...
Thanks for updating with this crucial information! Although, I never invested my time in that platform; I feel good for not choosing that platform.
Any idea, how is Weku doing? Any better than Bearshares? Just being curious.
no, no idea, i got an interest becasue there was a growing community from my country and it is early starting so there was much to be done so i tried to help with my technical skills, but i ended up digging forensic and reading the code and finding worrisome facts.
The founder tries to surround himself with non technical witnesses and users so he can easily dismiss them.
He seems to be trying to scam small ammounts of money from each user.
In the end starting a steemit clone is as difficult as installing wordpress.
Good for you that you lost only $50 and took a quick decision to make an exit.
You got a 74.87% upvote from @ocdb courtesy of @nnnarvaez! :)
@ocdb is a non-profit bidbot for whitelisted Steemians, current max bid is 60 SBD and the equivalent amount in STEEM.
