Warning!!! Be careful of Scams in Steemit : Wallet Scams

The popularity and success of steemit has , unfortunately, given rise to scammers who want to take control of members wallet and steal all the money there-especially accounts that did not power up their steem.  In fact, there are many types of scams going on here however I will focus on the scams we receive mainly via our wallets:

• Upvote Scam:  @lovelygirl  , for example, is sending too good to be true messages via our wallets which smells and sounds like a scam…another one is from @optimisticguy  

Examples:  

Triple Your Money on Steemit. We will Up-Vote your posts for you. For $1 Steem Dollar our group will Up-Vote your post by $3.00 in return. So you triple your money. If you, however, analyse their posts payouts, you will notice that they are  not practicing what they preach and focused on  resteeming in order to avoid their posts being flagged. 

• Resteem Scam: Many scammers are spamming member’s wallet with resteem offers-purporting to resteem to thousands of their followers. Think about it, if they resteem 500 accounts daily, do you think that it will add value to your account? Better save your steem dollars and  grow your followers organically through relationship building and shared interest –which will certainly lead to increase in post view and financial rewards.
• Phishing Scam: Do not click any unknown link you see on your email , steemit chat and wallet because most are phishing link trying to steal your account information in order to steal all your hard earned money. @accounttransfers , for example as indicated by my dear friend @karenmckersie  in her post   is sending such messages to members.

As a community, we will stand strong and unite against spams, scams and bad behavior in order for our steemit platform to succeed in the long run. In my former post : Will monetary reward destroy genuine interactions in steemit –I indicated how monetary reward has given way to many greedy people trying to take advantage of all-pls see it .  Importantly, many of the scammers, unfortunately, will certainly create a new account and come back with new tricks. However we will be ready to chase them out again as one smart , united and strong community (please resteem to warn your followers).
