A new way of life for the church.
The challenge of leading a congregation to focus on people to preach and teach them face to face introduces the church into another way of life. This way of life of the church frees all members to practice the commands of Jesus (Mark 16:15 preach, Matthew 28.18-20 make disciples). This way of life of the church generates personal responsibility in the members of the church (there is no longer a program to satisfy the people), now the responsibility to do something (preach or teach) to the people is in the hands of the members.

Most church members feel "mysteriously" free of the responsibilities of "preaching and discipleship" because the church has organized a program for these purposes. The result of this thought is that 80% of the members of a church have never won a person for Christ nor have they personally discipled anyone. This way of life of the church makes the church personal for those who contact it. (The church no longer offers programs but personal contact, face-to-face relationship, one ear to listen). This way of life of the church brings growth.
We have seen it in recent years in our congregation. "People come looking for a relationship and we offer a program, they come looking for a hand on the shoulder and we offer meetings, it is not uncommon for the majority not to return" The church must change if it wants to be effective, the church must refocus on the people, only for them Christ died, to go to them with the potential of each of our members is the mandate that Jesus left us. Can the church move towards people?

My Pastor was not welcome to a meeting of pastors because he was not of the Federation of them. this news made me sad.

Just sister @kristal01, read the message ... the question is not how many people come to church? but how many people know Jesus through us ?, we are the church of Christ, there are people who live in a club, but his heart is far from God, it is sad that in his church so many bad things happen, take your testimony to Everywhere as a daughter of Christ and you will see, you will not have to depend on any leader, no pastor, you yourself are called to establish the kingdom here on earth, it is a divine mandate. If we spend seeing what others do, we will fail, Jesus did not see what Judas was going to do, he saw us with eyes of love, and he gave his life. This is the principle of success as Christians.

This is magnificent, profitable and at the same time a delight to read it @ricci01, I have always told you that the church is like a hospital, not the healthy, but the sick, the religion has made us believe that the fact that we attend a temple we are Christians, but Jesus made it clear: this people with their lips honor me but their heart is far from me, this is the time to imitate Jesus, to walk the streets, to rescue the lost, to what they are sick, in the prisons , the temple will always be there, but we have to make people know Jesus, from a simple gesture, something as simple as a sucker, a kiss, a love, a meal, God is a God of details, churches of strict doctrines are always criticized, but that is not our job, but to love, I remember when I was little my mother, I took to church, I saw her bored, and sometimes I even slept with those songs, but she sowed the word, and although asleep, she insisted, and so it grew, and that seed gave its fruit, and today I am what I am thanks to the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross and a warrior woman, teacher of the word that formed me.
