JESUS CHRIST THE REDEEMER

One of the things that is often referred to as the result of Jesus' death is redemption. "Redemption" is an action that assumes the existence of a redeemer, that is, someone who makes the possible redemption and the existence of a ransom that is paid for that. To discover what that was for what Jesus Christ redeemed us as well as the ransom he paid we go to Titus 2:14 which says:

"Who [Jesus] GAVE HIMSELF FOR US TO REDEEM US OF ALL INIQUITY"
Jesus Christ redeemed us FROM ALL INIQUITY, and He obtained it by GIVING HIMSELF for us. In other words, HE was the ransom for our redemption of "ALL INIQUITY". As he himself said in Matthew 20:28:

"As the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, AND TO GIVE HIS LIFE IN RESCUE FOR MANY."
Jesus came to serve, AND TO GIVE HIS LIFE IN RESCUE FOR MANY. "And so great was this ransom that was paid for us and in the same way the redemption that was obtained for that. Let's see Hebrews 9: 11-12 where he talks about redemption:

"Now Christ, the high priest of the good things to come, is already present, by the greatest and most perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is, not of this creation, and not by the blood of goats or calves, but by his own blood, entered once for all into the Holy of Holies, having obtained eternal redemption. "
The priests of the law offered calves and goats by which they tried to obtain remission for their sins. As we will see later, what they did was inadequate. On the other hand, Jesus presented to God HIS OWN BLOOD through which he obtained THE ETERNAL REDEMPTION FOR US ". As in Ephesians 1: 7 and Colossians 1:14 they also say:

"IN WHOM WE HAVE REDEMPTION FOR HIS BLOOD, the forgiveness of sins according to the riches of his [God's] grace"
Colossians 1:14
"In whom] Jesus] WE HAVE REDEMPTION FOR HIS BLOOD, the forgiveness of sins:"
Redemption is not in our good deeds and behavior. It is not in our religious devotion. It is not in our personal value. But it is in JESUS. And it is a redemption "according to the riches of his grace" that is, abundant and complete, as we read, eternal redemption.
