The transforming power of Dios

Introduction
Saulo de tarso enters the story of the events at the time Stephen gave his life as the first martyr of the Christian church. We see that the witnesses who had been paid to make false accusations against Stephen put their clothes at the feet of Saul as if he was the one who had bribed them for this (facts 7:58). And since Saul was from Tarsus, in the province of Cilicia, it is possible that he was one of those of Cilicia mentioned in Acts 6: 9-10 who disputed with Stephen. Defeated in the discussion, they instigated the action that would result in his death.

It seems that Saul of Tarsus was a member of the Sanhedrin and gave his vote in favor of the execution of Stephen at the council meeting.
When the persecution against the Jerusalem church was unleashed after Stephen's death, Saul was one of the most aggressive enemies of Christians. Acts 8: 3 tells us that he "ravaged the church" and his goal was probably the total destruction of the Christian community. We are told that "entering house by house, dragged men and women, and delivered them in jail."
As we observed in the reading of chapter 8, Luke begins to tell us about the cruelties that Saul committed against the church. Then he interrupts that unpleasant report to tell us about Felipe's evangelistic ministry in Samaria and the conversion of the Ethiopian eunuch. But at the beginning of chapter 9, the writer resumes the theme of Saul, a cruel enemy of the church, who was fighting for his disappearance. But God's plans are very different from those of man.

A miraculous conversion
As I have indicated Saul of Tarsus is an enraged enemy who tries to persecute and kill Christians everywhere. That is why we see Saul of Tarsus going to Damascus with enough force to be able to bring all the believers he could find to subject them to severe punishment in Jerusalem. We are not mentioned the number of those who were part of his escort.
He was already a short distance from Damascus when something very strange happened to him, which completely changed the course of his life.
This event not only transformed Saul's personal life but also changed the history of the church of Jesus Christ. Later, in telling the testimony of his conversion,he said that the light that surrounded him was stronger than the sun's radiance.

The conversion of Saulo was an experience The Jesus whom he abhorred with all his strength was the one who was calling him by his name. Saul thought that he was persecuting and mistreating men and women, but Jesus said to hmi: "I am Jesus, whom you persecue."

What was happening to Saulo de Tarso was the most beautiful thing that could happen to a mortal, he was finding himself face to face with his creator, his heart was burning with total surrender of love for his lord, he was simply surrendered at his feet, I could stand the great love of God towards him.
How great is our Lord Jesus Christ!
How great is his glory and his grace for the children of men! This is our God, great in love and in mercy.
