Lesson 106: Great Powerful Praise to God Begets Victory
Source
I share a new lesson focused on the powerful praise that generates victory. This interesting lesson has its biblical support in 2 Chronicles 20: 15-22, in which the people of Judah who faced mortal enemies won a great victory when the Levites responded to the Word of the Lord praising "loudly and loudly." .
2 Chronicles 20: 15-22 King James Version (NIV), 15 and said: Listen, Judah to all, and you, inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat. Jehovah tells you like this: do not fear or be afraid of this great multitude, because the war is not yours, but God's. 16 Tomorrow you will descend against them; behold, they will climb the slope of Sis, and you will find them by the current, before the desert of Jeruel. 17 There will be no reason to fight in this case; stand still, stand still and see the salvation of Jehovah with you. O Judah and Jerusalem, do not fear or faint; Go out against them tomorrow, because Jehovah will be with you. 18 Then Jehoshaphat bowed his face to the ground, and in the same way all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell down before Jehovah, and worshiped Jehovah. 19 And the Levites of the sons of Kohath and of the sons of Korah rose up to praise the Lord God of Israel with a strong and strong voice. 20 And when they rose in the morning, they went out into the Tecoa desert. And while they were leaving, Jehoshaphat, standing, said: Listen to me, Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem. Believe in Jehovah your God, and you will be safe; Believe in their prophets and you will be prospered. 21 And when there was counsel with the people, he put some to sing and praise Jehovah, dressed in sacred ornaments, while the armed people went out and said: Glorify Jehovah, for his mercy endures forever. 22 And when they began to sing songs of praise, Jehovah set the ambushes of themselves that came against Judah against the sons of Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir, and killed each other.
In this important chapter there is a great lesson about the power of praise. Judah was being confronted by its mortal enemies, Moab and Ammon. The people sought God in prayer and with faith in his word (20: 1-14). Then came the word of the prophet Jahaziel: "Do not fear ... because the war is not yours, but of God" (20:15). The victory came in a strange and powerful way. The Levites rose and praised "the Lord God of Israel with a strong and strong voice" (20:19). Then, some were appointed to sing to the Lord and worship him in the beauty of his holiness. They marched before the army, saying: "Glory to Jehovah, for his mercy is forever" (20:21). The result of this powerful praise was a total victory!
