SERVING FAITHFULLY.

Reading passage:- 2nd Chronicles 31:21.

1. And in every work that he began in the service of the house of God, and in the law, and in the commandments, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart, and prospered.

There is an interesting story in the bible about King Hezekiah, who led the children of Israel to war, served God with all his heart and walked before him faithfully. One day he became sick and God told Isaiah to go and tell him that he should keep his house in order that he will surely die and not live, but Hezekiah turned to God in prayer knowing how faithful he was in his service to God and told God to remember! Do you know what? God went to the book of chronicle where Hezekiah's name was written and saw that he was faithful in his service and immediately reversed his word adding more years to him as a reward for service, Isaiah 38:1-5

1.In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live.

2.Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed unto the Lord,

3.And said, Remember now, O Lord, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.

4.Then came the word of the Lord to Isaiah, saying,

5.Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the Lord, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years.

How are you working in the spiritual upliftment your service to God is very important, you must make sure you are not serving God in that area because you are forced to or for men to see that you are active but serve God faithfully so that your name will be recorded in the book of Chronicles in heaven.

The bible says in Debut 11:13b
"...........and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul"

This means one can serve God but not with all his heart and soul which brings no blessings!

Do you need upliftment in all areas of your life? If yes then use your time, money, strength and all that God has given you and serve God with all your heart and soul and watch your life experience a difference!

My earnest prayer this morning is that God will lift me up as I faithfully serve him. Amen.
