The Kingdom of God Over Material Things

We have to put to death the evil things in our lives so that we can move forward in life. Those material things that are depriving us from the kingdom of God. This is what Christ is telling us today so that anyone who comes to him will benefit from the kingdom of God.

Exodus 23:2

"You shall not follow the masses in doing evil, nor shall you testify in a dispute so as to turn aside after a multitude in order to pervert justice;

The kingdom of God is spreading of the good news this started during the time of Jesus Christ in the old testament beginning from the 4 disciples of Jesus then it moved to 12 disciples then to 72 and today the gospel is everywhere.

It doesn't matter where you start from. If you preach the gospel to one person it is something. Every big thing started in a small way. Nothing in this world started big. If and only if we remain in touch with our Lord, we will make a difference in this world.

Life is not stagnant life is dynamic
Yesterday you were somewhere today you're something, tomorrow you'll be something bigger if only you believe in the Lord.

John 6:35

Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will not hunger, and he who believes in Me will never thirst.

We are not in charge of our lives. God is in charge and him alone is growth can effect growth in our lives.
If we need to exhibit the growth of God, we need to deprive ourselves from any temptation.
When we make ourselves available and allow God to be in charge of our lives, we will be bigger than what we think. Even if you don't believe in getting to that great height you dream of but with God on your side you'll get to that point.

What God is telling us this today is never to see ourselves as the all in all. There is blessing in being humble.

Matthew 6:19-21

“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

St. Paul tells us today that we need to put away those material things that will take us away from Christ.
