@acidyo did a post explaining/ charting/showing how the price began to jump after SBD and Steem were added to a Korean exchange. He shows it pretty clearly.

They were added to an exchange in Korea that is tied to your cell phone Texting app. Koreans can go STRAIGHT from their Currency to the phone app, into CRYPTOS. It is so easy for them. 1,000,000 Koreans can each deposit $5 or $50 in minutes and own STEEM and SBD 1 minute later. So the Money is POURING in. And now SBD is at $17!!!!
