Review Film (tsunami) The Impossible

This time I just want to share a little movie experience that I think could be a reference for you watch. Because one of my hobbies is watching a movie, so I do not think it's wrong to share a little story about the movie I watched yesterday called The Impossible in 2012, which is the true story of a family affected by the tsunami disaster.

The Aceh Tsunami on 26 December 2004 was one of the greatest catastrophes ever to shake the archipelago. Tens of thousands of casualties died as a result of the devastating disaster. The people of Aceh at that time, experiencing grief and deep sorrow. Even the world also respond to this tragedy by providing assistance from various corners of the world.

Tsunami disaster is also not only happening in Indonesia's western tip of this country, but also occurs in countries that get the nickname White Elephant namely Thailand. The film is a story of a family from Spain who later lived and worked in Japan. At that time their family was on holiday to celebrate christmas and new year in Thailand. The film is played by powerful actors in the Hollywood movie world like Ewan McGregor, Naomi Watts, and Tom Holland. Directed by Juan Antonio Bayona.

Henry Bennet (Ewan McGregor) with his wife Maria (Naomi Watts) and his son Lucas (Tom Holland), Thomas (Samuel Joslin) and Simon (Oaklee Padergast) who were on vacation at the Orchid Resort Beach inn in Khaob Lhak area Thailand beach with amazing views of the ocean.

New year at that time they passed very lively with chatting and sharing gifts christmas. But on that day was a holiday that brought disaster to the family. Suddenly the wind was blowing very hard with the birds running away, the vibrations beginning to appear on the glass wall. The sea water is roaring with the great waves rolling up all that it passes. Coconut trees that are on the beach all fallen and hit the inn. Everything was swept away by the sea water so horrible that it hit them.

Maria at that time tried not to drown in the high whirlpool. He had a lot of clashes of objects drifting in the water. Lucas's eldest son from Maria was struggling through the fierce waves of water that kept rolling his body. But both of them survived even though Maria got a lot of injuries from these terrible events.

As they fled to a safer place, they found a boy named Daniel, though Mary was severely injured in the thighs and chest, he and Lucas tried to help Daniel and decided to rest on a large and tall tree. For Mary to climb the tree it was a struggle because of the wound, but Lucas did not remain silent and help her mother climb the tree.

Not a few later they heard a voice coming toward them. They were also transported by a truck and brought to the nearest village to treat the wounded Maria. But when busy take care of Mary Daniel was left behind and did not participate in the car they were traveling.

Arrived at the hospital so many victims were injured. Lucas always accompanied his mother while helping people find the family who asked for help to Lucas. Some of them can meet with the family thanks to Lucas. With Daniel whom he saw had met his family. Lucas was very happy with the action.

Lucas happy not last long, when he returned he did not see his mother in the bed where her mother was treated. Lucas then panics and doctors advise to bring Lucas to the lost child's shelter. He presented some relics of rings and watches. But Lucas did not recognize him at all. Sister was aware that her mother's medical records were confused with others who had died. Maria was in the operating room. Lucas also met with his mother with very poor condition.

Henry and two other children also survived this tragedy. Two of her children were found in a hanging tree that someone else saved. At the inn they meet again. After that Henry tried to find Maria and Lucas by entrusting his two children to others to the mountains.

The search began checking the bodies on the streets and the hospital. At that time he saw the person he sent his son yesterday. But he said his son had been taken by officers somewhere. Thomas and Simon stopped at the hospital because Simon who wanted to urinate finally came out. Finally they are in the hospital that their family finally reunited.

The character of Tom Holland here proves that what a person needs when disaster strikes is not heroism but the nature of humanism required. Ewan and Naomi's extraordinary acting makes us grimace with the pain of the wounds and families lost during the event.

I really appreciate this movie because it is very impressive when watched with family.
