Dear Satoshi Nakamoto...Whoever you are!
Bitcoin is the pioneer cryptocurrency that set the ball rolling for all the altcoins available in the market. The whitepaper for Bitcoin was published in 2008, and the first Bitcoin transaction took place in 2009. Since 2013, the cryptocurrency has seen global acceptance by traders, investors, and everyday users alike. However, with all that is known about the blockchain technology, the creator of Bitcoin is still shrouded in mystery.
Who is Satoshi Nakamoto?
The name of the Bitcoin whitepaper was Satoshi Nakamoto. The name itself is considered a pseudonym which the person or group behind Bitcoin used to keep themselves anonymous. He was believed to be a Japanese national born in 1975. However, many people think that’s not true since he spoke English fluently and did not use Japanese as such in the whitepaper.
Prior to and around the time of the publishing of the whitepaper, Nakamoto made a number of posts on forums and blogs. Going by his activity and the time of his making posts, people believed he lived somewhere in the Americas. Judging by his use of UK English at times, people believed he was someone from the commonwealth. But both those speculations were of no help.
