Sarah's Sandman (Metallica Parody) - Senator's melts-down in parliament then real life over 'Mean Words'
An event in Australia's parliament around June 2018 really highlighted how irrational, self-absorbed and frankly vindictive Senator Hanson-Young (Australian Greens) is and the obscene lengths she will go to in order to parade her false virtue no matter the cost. Sarah voted against a motion to lift a ban on non-lethal self defensive for the purpose of increasing the safety of Women, that was proposed in response to a young woman having been attacked, raped and tragically murdered in Melbourne while she walked home around midnight just weeks before. Rather a bizarre position to take, one would think, for someone who claims to be about protecting women from becoming helpless victims of privileged patriarchy.
A public shit-circus erupted from that motion, inflamed by mainstream and social media coverage, that was truely astonishing. Months later, it still plays out before a federal judge as Sarah charged her senate colleague, Senator David Leyonhjelm, with defamation. The trigger for all of this was offense taken, from Leyonhjelm's response in parliament, to Sarah's interjection in the senate asserting that all men are rapists. Sarah's response to this petty (though rather typical) parliamentary nonsense, quickly blew out of all proportions, and was encouraged by SJWs lurking in our main-stream media, who got behind Sarah as she insisted it was her duty to speak-up against this outrage for all women. This all came across as obscene self-righteous virtue signalling at first, and declined towards irrational screeching as the days went by - yet there it was: all over our screens and papers for weeks. David Leyonhjelm was pursued relentlessly by an outraged mob of SJW cry-bullies, but he refused to back-down or submit. At every stage he calmly defended himself and rationally explained everything that happened, his narrative didn't waver.
I made this parody song and video as a tribute to the unbelievable public pile-on Senator Leyonhjelm endured, after the motion he and four others supported, was defeated. Women are no safer from all the public outrage at misogyny, and the vicious pursuit of Leyonhjelm by SJW do-gooders. In fact, the bill that called for practical steps towards enhancing safety for women from violent attackers was defeated by Liberal, Labour, Greens senators - while the mainstream media distracted us all with Sarah's spectacle which was presented as - 'bravely standing up to another blow from the oppressive patriarchy and calling it out for the sake of all women' - when in reality, it was merely a but-hurt tantrum over some mean words in the senate.
